If you use a local email client such as Microsoft Outlook or Mac Mail, or get your email on a mobile or tablet we would recommend that you check the incoming and outgoing server host name you're currently using, as you may not need to make any changes at all. Before making any changes, you MUST first log into WebMail with your existing login details.

They are a few steps you need to follow

  • Login to Webmail
    If you do not know your current Gandi password, you can re-set it from your Moonfruit.domains Control Panel and this article will show you how.

  • Once logged into Webmail, you can synchronise your Gandi mailbox to your new names.co.uk Mailbox and we will import all of your mail content.  This support article will show you how.

  • Check your mail client settings and change accordingly as describe below:

If your incoming mail server is currently pop.example.com or imap.example.com, you do not need to make any changes and your emails will continue to be received through names.co.uk WebMail.

If your incoming mail server is mail.gandi.net then you will need to change the incoming mail server to pop3.hosts.co.uk (if you have a POP account set up) or imap.hosts.co.uk (if you have an IMAP account set up).

You will also need to check your outgoing mail servers. If your outgoing mail server is currently smtp.example.com then you do not need to change this.

If your outgoing mail server is mail.gandi.net then this will need to be updated to smtp.hosts.co.uk
